The Umbrella Academy is finally back on Netflix, see what critics have to say about Season 3 and The Sparrows

Tom Strength TechRadar evaluates the new season Umbrella Academy with 3 out of 5 stars, saying he likes the plot twists and funny comic book references. Fans will be happy to find more of the show’s signature one-liners and dance routines, and the story reveals some of the mystery, leaving plenty of room for more revelations in future seasons. While the Sparrow Academy characters are not always used as effectively as they could be, this review states that the way they are contrasted with the Hargreaves is “captivating”:

Charles Pulliam-Moore of edge calls this season the best season of a comic-book-inspired series, as its ever-expanding lore and creative pace make it worthy of a 10-hour commitment. Alex Stedman of IGN rates the upcoming season as “Excellent” 8 out of 10, saying that despite adding more characters, Umbrella Academy is able to tell a more personal story in its third season thanks to the strength of its complex characters and excellent cast:
The Umbrella Academy Season 3 may take a few episodes to find its foundation, but give it time and it will eventually do what it does best: building on the character development of the Hargreaves siblings and their relationship as a friend. with a friend. It’s disappointing, this review says, but delightful, and while the new characters and plots are hard to get to grips with, the season gets pretty fun:

New characters, new places, and a new world catastrophe may appear on the horizon, but at the end of the day, this is a series about a group of siblings who love each other more than anything, but are also incredibly terrible for one of them. the other because they know exactly how to break each other.
