Kingpin’s Vincent D’Onofrio shared a selfie at the gym ahead of the MCU’s return

Hawkeye star Vincent D’Onofrio shares a muscular gym selfie ahead of his potential but is rumored to be returning to the Marvel Cinematic Universe as Kingpin.

Vincent D’Onofrio shared a particularly muscular gym selfie ahead of his return to the Marvel Cinematic Universe following his Disney+ appearance. Hawkeye.

“63 years old but who’s counting,” D’Onofrio wrote in the caption of a photo he shared on Twitter under the hashtag “#NoFearNoGreedNoEnvy”. While the actor repeated his Daredevil role as villain Wilson Fisk/Kingpin for his MCU debut on Disney+ Hawkeye Marvel Studios or Disney have not confirmed when or where his character will reappear.

D’Onofrio portrayed crime boss Wilson Fisk/Kingpin for all three seasons of the Netflix series. Daredevil series that began in 2015 before being canceled in 2018. This left characters from every now-defunct Marvel television show unavailable to Marvel Studios for the next two years. However, rumors began to circulate that the actor would reprise his role for Disney+. Hawkeye after it was confirmed that the series would include Maya Lopez/Echo Alaqua Cox, who in the comics is Fisk’s adopted daughter.


Although it has not been officially confirmed that the character will appear in Hawkeye until series five, D’Onofrio regularly trolls fans about his possible appearance on the series. Bye Hawkeye Directors Burt and Bertie have previously explained that in terms of the Marvel show on Netflix, “there was never any requirement or need to combine Daredevil as well as Hawkeye in any way.” However, D’Onofrio stated that the Disney+ version of the Kingpin is the same character that appeared on Daredevil.

“He obviously has more physical strength and can take a lot more physical abuse, but from a story standpoint, it’s been discussed that this happened after the Flash, that he’s the same guy that was in Daredevilbut he lost some of his strength and that my arc is in Hawkeye is that I want my power back,” D’Onofrio said.


Daredevil, along with the rest of Netflix’s Marvel Television shows, are now available on Disney+, and the series has since been confirmed as canon for the rest of the MCU. Matt Murdock of Charlie Cox even made a brief cameo appearance in Spiderman: No Way Home and the Disney+ reboot has been confirmed Daredevil is in work. However, the season finale Hawkeye left Kingpin’s future in the MCU uncertain, though D’Onofrio is hopeful the character will return in a future project. “I hope he didn’t die,” he said. “I am with the fans, I want to continue playing this role. I hope we continue.”


It’s currently unclear how big D’Onofrio’s role will be in the MCU going forward, but with his connection to Maya Lopez/Echo, he could play a big role in the future. Echo A Disney+ series starring Alaqua Cox that ties directly into the events Hawkeye.
