Vampire fans are spoiled for choice when it comes to TV shows revolving around the bloodthirsty creatures of the night. However buffy vampire fans may want to add a new Netflix series, First kill to your watchlist because viewers are making comparisons. Watch the trailer below.
The eight-part series focuses on young vampire Juliet (Sarah Katherine Hook), who must commit her first murder to take her place among a powerful family of vampires. She wants to cling to a new girl who has just moved into town, Calliope (Imany Lewis).
Much to Juliet’s surprise, Calliope turns out to be a vampire hunter from a family of notorious assassins. Both girls realize that the other won’t be easy to kill, and in an unexpected turn of events, they may actually be in love with each other.
There is nothing we love more than a good old love story, and it seems that audiences and critics First kill I agree, many compare the plot with Romeo and Juliet.
The entire first season was released on Netflix on Friday, June 10 and generated a lot of buzz on social media.

While another viewer had high hopes for the new Netflix series and suggested that it could follow in the footsteps of two hugely popular vampire series. “First Kill can really be new [The Vampire Diaries] or Buffy.
A third Twitter user shared: “So far, love this show First Kill on Netflix. Almost like Buffy.”
Another viewer chimed in and tweeted: “#firstkill brings new age Buffy to reality, and I’m here for that.”
Other fans have praised the show for its LGBTQ themes. “The first murder is the gay Buffy, the vampire slayer I dreamed about when I was a teenager.”
Buffy the Vampire Slayer follows the life of a high school girl who follows her destiny by killing vampires, demons and other supernatural creatures.
It was created Avengers directed by Joss Whedon and starring Sarah Michelle Gellar.
First kill was announced in October 2020 and created by Victoria Schwab, who wrote the short story on which the series is based.
Those who have already watched the entire series in one sitting are begging the streamer to order another season, with more praise for the show’s portrayal of a lesbian couple.
