Here are the top boy soccer players in the Utah Valley region in 2021:

Player of the Year: Tyson Haunga, Senior Guard, Lehi

A reliable back row player who organized his team and lifted the game of each athlete, and also provided the basis for the team to move the ball forward from back to front.

Offensive MVP: Carlos Rodriguez, senior linebacker, Provo

An incredible athlete and finisher who consistently delivered amazing performances and was almost unstoppable, he scored 24 goals in 15 games.

Defensive MVP: Tanner Wagstaff, Senior Guard, Wasatch

A gifted defender who could knock the opponent out of the rhythm both with his kicking skills and by kicking the ball out of the air.

Goaltender of the Year: Sean Gutzman, Senior Goaltender, Provo

A confident stopper and team leader who faced several talented scorers but still scored six shutouts.

Coach of the Year: Tim Graham, Lehi

A gifted software engineer who always finds ways to get his teams to improve game by game and year by year, helped lead his team to the 2022 5A State Championship game.

A dynamic presence whose creativity and skill opened up opportunities for themselves (eight heads) as well as for the entire team.

A reliable goalkeeper who scored four shutouts but made many vital saves, including during the penalty shootout.

ELee Donaldson, F/MF, Timpanogos

An impressive finisher who scored nine goals for the Timberwolves, making the opposing defense always know where he is.

Clayton Ekalono, Senior Assistant/Female, Pleasant Grove

A gifted athlete who understands the game and has gone all over the field scoring five goals and five assists.

Gavin Fenn, Fr. MF, Lehi

A physical athlete who played with maturity beyond his years, scoring eight goals and making the most of free kicks.

Jon Fritcher, So. MF, Pleasant Grove

An all-around youngster who advanced strongly for the Vikings, scoring 10 goals and adding six assists.

Matthew Hadley, Senior MF, Pleasant Grove

A constant presence that found ways to get everyone involved, including scoring five goals with five assists.

Christian Jones Sr. F, Lehi

A great finisher who could get the ball into the net in many different ways, scoring eight goals and nine assists.

Lewis Knecht, Fr. F, American heritage

An amazing player who has always been a threat to do anything, as evidenced by his 22 goals and nine assists.

Christian Millar, Sr. K., Salem Hills

An athletic goalie who was almost always in the right place to play the ball, finishing the game with 8.5 shutouts.

A talented striker who used his athleticism to break down defenders and score (10 goals, 5 assists).
