Andrew Wiggins highlights the best bets

The Golden State Warriors have a shot at winning their fourth NBA championship in eight seasons when they find themselves in Game 6 against the Boston Celtics tonight. If they’re going to win all of this, they’ll have to do it in hostile territory at TD Garden in Boston.

In this strange series of lopsided wins, here are three bets worth making in the pivotal sixth game.

Odds, NBA Finals Game 6 Odds (9:00 pm ET, ABC & ESPN)

All odds provided by BetMGM.

Andrew Wiggins OVER 18.5 points (+100)

I’ve been betting on Wiggins throughout these playoffs and I’m not going to stop now. Wiggins scored 26 points, his second most in the playoffs of his career. He did it without dropping any of his six 3-point attempts. Wiggins is averaging 18.4 points in these finals, so the line is set where it is.

However, a positive regression is coming. The shooter, who has averaged 39.3% of 3s this season, has a great opportunity to improve on the 25.0% of 3s he has made this Finals. Even though Boston was the NBA’s best regular season triple defense team, it’s unlikely that Wiggins will miss all of his second straight game attempts.

The lack of output from the three actually gives me more confidence in his ability to post another healthy line of stats as he was able to score 26 in Boston without a deep ball advantage.

Victory: Warriors 6-10 (+500)

Every game in this series has been won by at least 10 points, regardless of which team emerged victorious. This seems incredibly odd considering how tight the streak is statistically – the Warriors are averaging only 2.2 points per game more than the Celtics.

Faced with relegation, I find it extremely unlikely that the Celtics will lose at home. Given what we’ve already seen in this series, I believe the Warriors will shut out Boston, but I expect him to be tighter than we’ve seen so far. Jason Tatum and Jaylen Brown averaged 7.3 field goals per game in paint during the regular season, but Draymond Green choked them. The two team up for just 3.8 a game in this series.

The Warriors must continue to dominate the transition and shut down the paint. I’ll take them to win in a pretty comfortable manner, but not by the 10 point difference we’ve seen in the last two games.

First point method: 3 points (+190)

The first count method is risky, but there is little method in the madness. Both teams fired triples at an impressive rate in this series, with the Celtics averaging 36.6 3PA/G and the Warriors averaging 41.0 3PA/G.

During the NBA regular season, the Mavericks led the league with 41.5 3 points. That both teams were averaging three points in that series could have made it into the top five in the NBA during the regular season.

So far, the first bucket has come from deep-balling in two of five games, and with both teams looking to come out of the net hot in a potentially decisive Game 6, I expect the flurry of triples to start sooner.
