After a very productive year with the Los Angeles Lakers, Carmelo Anthony continued to reinvent himself on the bench. He averaged 13.3 points and 4.2 rebounds per game while shooting 44.1% from the field and 37.5% from three. He may not be the superstar talent he once was, but in the right situation, Melo can still make a big impact. The 10-time All-Star could be seriously pursued during the 2022 NBA free agency.
As one of the best scorers the game has ever seen, Anthony is likely to have a fair amount of fans in the 2022 NBA offseason. This is especially true given that he was one of the Lakers’ few highlights during their disastrous 2021-2022 campaign. Without further ado, let’s discuss Anthony’s four best NBA free agent touchdowns.

Best Carmelo Anthony Touchdown Spots in NBA Free Agency 2022
4. Los Angeles Lakers
Considering how well he did as a reserve with the Lakers last season, it would make sense for Anthony to return to the Lakers for another run. He accepted his role as he came off the bench, delivering a much-needed scoring hit to their second squad.

By throwing several big shots throughout the year and helping this team when they needed it most, Melo brought the perfect combination of scoring, rebounding and veteran leadership to Los Angeles. If the Lakers want to return to NBA dominance next year, Anthony’s return would be in their best interest. But if Anthony wants to win the ring, there are better options.
3. Dallas Mavericks
The addition of a great player like Anthony to the Dallas Mavericks would be another quality addition for this promising title contender. If Anthony came off the bench and brought a few extra points to this dynamic Mavs team, it would make them even more deadly. For Melo, joining a team with an exciting future feels more rewarding than staying with the Lakers.
Plus, the Mavericks could even force him to close games and give Luka Doncic another weapon to work with in a crucial moment. The move would also reunite Anthony with Jason Kidd, who was once his teammate with the New York Knicks. Anthony gave ton of credit Kiddu, who helped him to the scoring title back in 2013 after having to play without him the following season. With the Mavs, Anthony would be another strong voice in the locker room.
2. Milwaukee Bucks
After a disappointing end to the season, the Milwaukee Bucks are looking to retool and bounce back in 2023, aiming for a championship. Bringing in an experienced veterinarian like Anthony would give them a deeper rotation to work with. His scoring and rebounding abilities will be a huge advantage for them, as well as for the Lakers.
As they look forward to the return of Chris Middleton, signing a multi-faceted scorer like Melo as a free agent will give the Bucks extra momentum on their further journey to amass as many NBA titles as possible during Giannis Antetokounmpo’s heyday.
1. Los Angeles Clippers
Hoping to return to the NBA postseason in 2023, the Los Angeles Clippers could be another perfect landing spot for Anthony. His shooting and active hands will make the Clippers another proven playoff player on the roster. It would also pair Anthony with former Oklahoma City Thunder teammate Paul George and become one of the Lakers.
At this point in his playing career, Anthony has accepted his place as a role player who can still produce clutch. As Los Angeles aim to win their first championship in the team’s history, Anthony could be a game-changing acquisition for them in the 2022 NBA offseason. Not to mention, Kawhi Leonard called on the front office to play for him, so this move could become a reality sooner than we realize.
