⚽FHSU Men’s Football Announces Seven Signatories

HAYS, Kansas – head coach of the Fort Hayes State men’s soccer team. Jerry Cleary announced the signing of seven student-athletes for the 2022 season. All seven will be Tigers freshmen in the fall.

Francisco Azzaro

Francisco Azzaro | Defender | Buenos Aires, Argentina
Francisco Azzaro was born in Buenos Aires, Argentina and raised in Paraguay. Fran is a versatile defender capable of playing in multiple places on the back line.

Azzaro has experience playing for several clubs including Sol de America and Club Recoleta. He was named Athlete of the Year in 2018 and 2019 by his school and helped his program win the 2018 ASA Tournament Championship. That year, his team scored a school-record eight tournament victories.

Harrison Bensouda
Harrison Bensouda

Harrison Bensouda | Midfielder | Shawnee, Kansas
Harrison Bensouda – State linebacker from Mill Valley High School in Shawnee, Kansas. In the fall of 2021, he helped the Jaguars to a 15-1-1 record in high school, earning state honors from the coaches association. and an All-Sunflower League Second Team Award. Bensouda played club football with Fusion Academy, winning one state championship and runner-up in three Kansas State Cups.

Callum Frogson
Callum Frogson

Callum Frogson | Defender | Nottingham, England
Born and raised in Nottingham, England, Callum Frogson brings the experience of high competition standards and also brings a winning culture to the team.

A defender, Frogson has played for professional academies such as Nottingham Forest and Mansfield Town and most recently played for Basford United in the Northern Premier League. During his time at Basford, Callum made club history by reaching the third round of the FA Youth Cup and facing Premier League side West Bromwich Albion. He also made his debut for the club’s first team at the age of 17.

Nathaniel Isom
Nathaniel Isom

Nathaniel Isom | Forward | Dayton, Ohio
Nathaniel Isom is a forward from Dayton, Ohio. He graduated from Archbishop Alter High School while playing for Cincinnati Elite FC.

Isom boasts many honors in his young career, including one club state championship, one state medalist, first team title in all leagues and all regions. He became the top scorer in his high school league with 18 points for the season and also scored the most points in the league.

Odran Lawlor
Odran Lawlor

Odran Lawlor | Midfielder/Defender | Moat, Ireland
Born and raised in Moat, Ireland, Odran Lawlor brings his experience and versatility to the central midfield and right back positions.

He played for clubs such as Temple Villa F.C., Belvedere F.C. and finally Bohemians F.C. of the League of Ireland Premier Division.

Lawlor boasts many accomplishments in his young career, including Bohemians U15 Player of the Year, U17 League of Ireland 2020 winner, U17 League of Ireland 2021 runner-up, and Bohemian U17 captaincy.

Jae Ho Shin
Jae Ho Shin

Jae Ho Shin | Forward | Seoul, South Korea
Jae Ho Shin brings a wealth of experience to Hays. The striker has played in Poland, Tanzania, Germany, Korea and India. His last stop was at MKS Piaseczno in Poland.

A native of Seoul, South Korea, Shin led his team in assists as a junior and played alongside many of the Tanzania and Poland national teams. During his time in Germany, he was sought after to play for the Bundesliga 2 team, FSV Frankfurt.

David Silva
David Silva

David Silva | Defender | Portugal
David Silva is a starting defender originally from Portugal. His playing history includes stops at FC Cesarense, AD Sanjoanense and CD Feirense. He won the Aveiro championship twice with AD Sanjoanense and captained that team during their 2019-20 championship campaign.
